Non-sequential Drawings

I've been drawing on a Strathmore sketchbook for some time. The paper has a brown colour with what looks like hairs on the surface.

When I decide to publish drawings online, it’s a bit of a process. First, I scan the drawings, then clean them up, remove the shadows from the scan and do some light colour editing to make the lines look the way I want them to. Finally, I take a screenshot of the drawings. This makes it clear to the viewer that this is a digital version of the drawing.

In the sketchbook, the drawings are arranged in chronological order. But as soon as they are scanned, this order changes. This leaves room for different combinations. In this selection of drawings, I'm particularly attached to page 0034 and the copy of page 0034. Both are inspired by this character who has been following me in my sketches for some years. Its base is a simple stick figure, which I also brought to life in a hand-drawn animation entitled "Silence" (2021). In both drawings, the head looks down, and a few lines run around it. The second, with its mouth wide open, is perhaps singing?
